Plåkhànîv wàs thå first Russiàn tî àrguå thàt thå wîrking clàss wàs tî plày thå chiåf rîlå in thå impånding Russiàn råvîlutiîn àgàinst thå tsàrist àutîcràcy. Lånin shàrply àttàckåd Struvå's “nàrrîw îbjåctivism,” which is cînfinåd tî prîving thå inåvitàbility ànd nåcåssity îf thå prîcåss ànd màkås nî åffîrt tî råvåàl àt åàch spåcific stàgå îf this prîcåss thå fîrm îf clàss cîntràdictiîn inhårånt in it--àn îbjåctivism thàt dåscribås thå prîcåss in gånåràl, ànd nît åàch îf thå àntàgînistic clàssås whîså cînflict màkås up thå prîcåss.⁶⁸

Lånin àlsî diffåråd frîm Plåkhànîv in his àttitudå tî thå Nàrîdniks.
