That basically wraps it up, with 4 groups it takes around 15mins to get through 1 round. Keep track of how much money each team puts in the bank and you can add it up to see which team wins.

I've had a lot of fun with this game as the students really get into it, they put pressure on each other to try just one more question and it's always funny when they play it safe and 'bank' money rather than taking a risk. Have fun and enjoy this ESL classroom activity!

Final Class Auction
Having a final class auction is a both a fun classroom activity and a great way to wrap things up with your students, this is always my favourite class of the school year.

I usually do the class in 2 parts, the first involving a team quiz where the students get given fake money depending on how well they did in the quiz, and the second involving the auction itself.

You might like to give out the fake money evenly or based on a different method but if you choose to do a quiz you'll find plenty in our quiz section.

Once they all have some fake money to work with you can either let them bid individually or as groups (perhaps the teams they were already in if you did a quiz).

Before the class I usually go out and buy 5 or 6 cheap prizes including anything from candy to stickers and small toys, it's up to you what to choose but it often depends on the age of your students (older students might not be so keen on stickers for example).

I also like to throw in a few 'duds' to keep them on their toes, the older students tend to find it hilarious when their friends win 'mystery bags' with terrible prizes in them.

Stand at the front of the room with a countdown of how many items are left in the auction written on the whiteboard/blackboard and start the bidding at a small price to get things rolling. Let the students raise their hands and call out their bids in English until someone bids a price that no one else is willing to match, after they hand over the fake cash the prize is theirs!

Continue until all the prizes are gone remembering to give yourself enough time to gather up all the fake money before the class ends.

Finds the Environment

Make your own story of how you find the environment. Look around you and find out all about your environment. Environment is everything around you. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell?

Now make up your own story book. You can write down all the things in your environment. Draw what you see or cut out pictures from newspapers and magazines. Remember to ask your parents before you cut out anything, please.

You can help the environment, too. Reuse paper for your story. Look at any paper you already have--is it blank on the back? Turn it over and use the back for your story.

Add things you find around you. Paste in a dry leaf or a feather you find.

Put it all together. Now you have your own story!

The last step? Share your story with your family and friends!

CONCLUSION

Summing up, it is possible to tell that in foreign language teaching extracurricular work takes an important place and is spent according to specificity of a subject. It solves two main tasks: first, interest development, deepening of knowledge, perfection of skills "and" abilities "in the given subject; secondly, the organization of free time of pupils for the purpose of their general development, moral and esthetic education.

After-hour and extracurricular work on a foreign language solves these problems means of a foreign language and according to the practical, general educational both educational purposes and problems of training to it at school.

It promotes development and deepening of interest of pupils to a foreign language, perfection of their practical skills and abilities in it, to expansion of their cultural outlook and general educational level.

Distinguish mass, group and individual forms of extracurricular work.

Mass forms of work concern; 1) incidental and periodic mass actions; 2) constant mass forms of work.

The basic differences of extracurricular work from educational are:

1. A voluntary nature of participation of pupils in extracurricular work unlike compulsion of educational activity

2. After-hour character of employment which is expressed, first, in absence of strictly fixed regulation, concerning to time, places, forms of their carrying out.

3. The big independence and initiative of pupils in performance of after-hour commissions.

Presently a huge role in extracurricular employment on English language use of the newest computer technologies, such so plays the Internet.
