Формальная ассимиляции подразделяется на фонетическую, графическую (графико-орфографическую) и грамматическую.
Под фонетической ассимиляцией понимается, во-первых, заимствование звукового образа лексической единицы из языка-донора, сопровождающееся субституцией звуков, и, во-вторых, в языке-реципиенте может измениться акцентуационная модель, то есть произойдет сдвиг ударения. Все исследуемые заимствования можно разделить на те, которые подвергаются фонетической ассимиляции (52% слов) и на те, которые ей не
подвергаются (48%). К фонетически ассимилировавшим словам можно
отнести такие заимствования, как «sable», «ukase», « stakhanovite» «knout»
«czar», «mead», и слова, которые изменили акцентуационную модель
«'babushka»- «bab'ushka», «gul'ag» -«'gulag», «shash'lik» - «'shashlik».
Под графической (графико-орфографической) ассимиляцией подразумевается графическое переоформление заимствованного слова с использованием графических средств языка - реципиента, а также подчинение ее написания нормам орфографии языка - реципиента. Все русские заимствования ассимилируют графически, так как сменили своё написание c кириллицы на латиницу. Орфографически ассимилирует 28% русицизмов «sable», «mead», «kopeck»,соответственно 72% не ассимилирует
«Bolshevik», «balalaika», «babushka» «vodka».
При грамматической ассимиляции, во-первых, происходит переход заимствованных лексических единиц в соответствующие лексико- грамматические классы слов (при этом преобладающее число слов не меняет свою «частичную принадлежность»), во-вторых, включение в грамматические категории (числа, рода, времени, степеней сравнения), которые существуют в языке - реципиенте.
Среди отобранных для исследования заимствований большинство (88%) подвергаются грамматической ассимиляции. Стоит обратить внимание, что многие заимствования, сохраняя категорию числа, либо принимают модель его образования, используемую в языке реципиенты, либо допускают два варианта его образования. К ним относятся следующие заимствования «apparatchiks» - «apparatchiki», «balalaikas» - «balalaika», «Bolsheviks» -«bolsheviki» «kulaks» - «kulaki».
2.3.2 Функциональная ассимиляция русских заимствований в современном английском языке
Попадая в новые языки, следовательно, становясь элементом новой лексической системы, заимствованное слово «начинает жить новой жизнью», что проявляется и в его внешней форме, и в его содержании [Амосова 1956:193].

В ходе сравнительно-сопоставительного анализа 65 лексических единиц, заимствованных из русского языка, с соответствующими словами- прототипами, было выявлено 12 слов (18%), которые, сохраняя семантическое значение языка-донора, приобрели ещё одно значение в языке- реципиенте,это такие слова как: «duma» - приобретённое значение «A drink mixing wine and vodka, name taken from the above».; «babushka» - приобретённое значение A headscarf, folded triangularlyand tied under the chin, traditionally worn by women in eastern Europe.; «vigorish» приобретенное значение «An amount owed on account of or payment of a bookie's charge or of interest.»
Также, 5 слов перешли в другую часть речи: vodka (n) - to vodka (v), mammoth (n) - mammoth (adj), blin (n) - to blin (v), что можно рассматривать как один из аспектов грамматической ассимиляции.
Остальные 53 анализируемых слова полностью сохранили семантическое значение этимонов в языке-доноре.
Всего 2 слова из анализированных 65 лексических единиц участвуют в словообразовательных процессах английского языка «czar»: tsardom, tsarism, tsarist; «vodka»: vodkaholic, vodkaless, vodkalike
Таким образом, стоит сказать, что словообразовательная ассимиляция встречается гораздо реже, чем семантическая.
Тем не менее, в англоязычных газетах мы можем встретить не один пример употребления этих слов:

ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ
Интерес ко всему русскому в различные периоды истории английского языка проявляется в различных языковых заимствованиях и интернационализации разнообразных русицизмов и советизмов, проявляется в самых разных сферах языка, а также затрагивает различные области человеческого общения: от литературы до обиходной речи.
Если бы можно было перефразировать слова Антолия Франса:
«Словарь - это вселенная, которая уложена в алфавитном порядке», то мы могли бы сказать, что ряды заимствованных слов, которые расположены во временном порядке, являются летописью роста страны, также ростом ее международного престижа, ее политических возможностей, а также культурного и обязательно научно-технического потенциала; давайте сравним ряд данных слов: сарафан, семга, квас, мед, тройка, телега с другим рядом слов, таких как: декабрист, народник, интеллигенци, Советы, Ленин, ленинизм, колхоз, совхоз, трудодень, спутник, с совсем другими словами, которые стали русицизмами в 90-х годах и некоторые по сей день неологизмы: беспредел (absolute illegality), приватизация (privatisation ),
гласность (glasnost). Жизнь России во время всех этапов обусловила жизнь русскоязычного слова в различных языках всего мира.
Проанализированный в рамках настоящего диплома практический материал (65 заимствованных единиц) позволяет заключить, что до XVI века заимствование из русского носили единичный характер, а пик заимствований из русского языка приходился на отрезок времени в 40 лет, с 1901 по 1950 годы.
Заимствованные слова, которые можно возвести к слово-прототипу в русском языке, - это своеобразные столбы на пути развития международных отношений, которые отмечают движение русской культуры, науки, а также передовой мысли. Русицизм, вышедший за границы русского языка является хранителем русской истории, проводником материальной и духовной культуры страны, ее полномочным представителем в языковом международном общении.
К основным признакам формальной ассимиляции русицизмов в современном английском языке можно отнести следующие: 28% русских заимствований ассимилируются орфографически, т.е. нетипичные для английского языка сочетания графем в них меняются на типичные для языка- реципиента; в 9% случаев русицизмы "подстраиваются" под английские акцентуационные модели; если наречия и относительные прилагательные не нуждаются в грамматической адаптации, то заимствованные из русского языка глаголы подчиняются парадигме изменения английских глаголов по временам, лицам и числам, а существительные русского происхождения (57 из 65 существительных в нашем практическом материале) образуют множественное число по моделям принимающей среды. Стоит обратить внимание, что многие заимствования, сохраняя категорию числа, либо принимают модель его образования, используемую в языке реципиенты , либо допускают два варианта его образования. К ним относятся следующие заимствования «apparatchiks» - «apparatchiki», «balalaikas»- «balalaika»,
«Bolsheviks» -«bolsheviki» «kulaks» - «kulaki».
К значимым доказательствам функциональной адаптации русицизмов в современном английском языке следует отнести следующее: только у 18% заимствований существенно расширяется семантика, а следовательно, они перестают функционировать исключительно как узкоспециализированные термины;
Итак, словарный состав английского языка изменялся и пополнялся в течение многих веков. Наиболее сильное влияние на его развитие оказали латинский, французский и скандинавские языки. В периоды тесных контактов с этими культурами в среду английского языка проникло огромное количество иностранных слов. Существует мнение, что влияние русского языка было весьма незначительным, но справедливо будет утверждать, что, во-первых, отдельные русицизмы сыграли значительную роль в становлении словарного состава современного английского языка, во-вторых, русицизмы часто встречаются на страницах англоязычных СМИ, где выполняют ряд важных стилистических и культурологических функций (справедливо отметить, что описать современную российскую действительность, не прибегая к использованию русицизмов, практически невозможно).
